END THE DAILY BATTLE

"Just 10 more minutes!"
You'll never hear it again.

Turn screen time into points your child earns by doing chores and learning, then spends on games, YouTube, or iPad time.
The one saying "no" stops being you — it's their point balance.

💬 "Can I play one more round?" 💬 "Just one more YouTube video!" 💬 "Can I have the iPad?"

HOW IT WORKS

You stop being the one who says "no."

EARN Tasks, chores, and learning
build up points
SPEND Trade points for game time,
YouTube, iPad, etc.

Next time they ask for more screen time, you say "Not enough points yet — do a task or some learning." You're the referee, not the villain. They plan their own day. The arguing, begging, and yelling — gone.

Sound familiar?

With KidsToDo, here's what these conversations look like

1
"Can I play games for an hour?"
"You have 150 pt. An hour costs 200 pt — you're 50 short."
➜ Kid: "Then I'll go finish my homework!" Walks themselves to the desk.
No yelling, no convincing, no guilt.
2
"Can I watch YouTube?"
"Sure, want to spend points? 15 min = 50 pt."
➜ Kid: "Actually, let me just do 10 minutes." Picks their own limit.
"Whenever you want, it's your points" becomes the magic phrase.
3
"Just one more round! Last one!"
"You have 20 pt left — not enough today. Tomorrow's a new day."
➜ Kid: Reluctantly accepts. The "Game → out of points → bedtime" flow becomes natural.
The rule is the number. You stop being the bad guy.
4
"I'm home from school — what should I do?"
— You don't say anything —
➜ Kid: Opens app → "I have 3 tasks left, 60 pt to earn" → does them on their own.
"Waiting to be told" turns into "thinking for themselves."

🧠 Why this actually works

🛡️
You're not the villain anymore
The app sets the rules. You shift from "the parent who says no" to "the parent cheering them on."
🎯
They take ownership
Not "forced to" but "earning what they want." Intrinsic motivation grows over time.
💰
No money or sweets needed
The reward is their own free time — no need to bribe with treats or cash to motivate them.
📚
Learning stops being a chore
Not "you must study" — "I want points so I'll study." 5 min of learning = 10 pt, which adds up to a lot of game time.

Get started in 5 minutes

Set up the system once. After that, your child runs it themselves.

1
Download the app and create a parent account
Free download from the App Store. Pick "Parent," sign up with email. Then enter your child's name and grade — the app generates a kid login for them automatically.
2
Set rewards = screen time
Your kid can request rewards through their Wishlist. You just approve. Adding a few defaults at the start helps things flow.
EXAMPLES • 30 min gaming = 100 pt
• 15 min YouTube = 50 pt
• 1 hour iPad time = 200 pt
• 1 hour playing outside with friends = 80 pt
3
Set up earning tasks
Daily routines, chores, homework, healthy habits — everything that gives points. Kid does it → you approve → points credited.
EXAMPLES • Brush teeth = +10 pt (daily)
• Homework = +30 pt (daily)
• Wash dishes = +15 pt (twice a week)
• Tidy room = +50 pt (weekend)
• 30 min reading = +20 pt (daily)
4
Bonus points from learning — make studying rewarding
About 10,000 in-app quiz questions covering math, reading, science, social studies for elementary grades. 2 pt per correct answer, bonus 10 pt for streaks of 5. When the kid wants 20 more points, they go study — on their own.
LEARNING EARNINGS • 5 correct answers = +10 pt
• 10 in a row = +25 pt (bonus)
• Daily streak grows for additional bonuses
5
Done. Now just watch.
On their own home screen, your kid sees today's tasks, point balance, and "X points to next reward" — and plans their own day.
You just approve when they submit. The "did you do your homework?" reminders disappear.
